Dr. Steve Albert earned his Doctor of Psychology degree from Yeshiva University. He is a New York State licensed psychologist and NY and NJ certified school psychologist, with more than 30 years’ experience working in school and clinical settings on behalf of families and students with disabilities. Dr. Albert also has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bank Street, and holds New York State certificates in School Administration and Supervision, and in School District Administration. Dr. Albert recently retired from the NYC Department of Education where he was the Executive Director of Program and Regulatory Affairs, overseeing the City’s psychologists, social workers, supervisors, and the special education IEP process. Presently, Dr. Albert is a private consultant, supporting families through the special education process and helping schools and organizations better serve students with disabilities.
